Message from the Board
Thursday, 27-Nov-08 -

If you have just retired from playing, why not take a referee course and help out at the club level.  You will be surprised at the satisfaction that can be gained by being at the centre of the action.

If you are still playing at the club level, why not take a referee course and help out with junior games which do not conflict with your playing schedule.  You may get the bug to continue reffing when your playing days are over.

If you have reached your limit on the playing side, why not try refereeing as an alternative?    The opportunities are endless for the young referee who is willing to dedicate time and effort to become the best.   Your first goal should be to referee at a higher level than you ever played.  Once you have achieved that goal, the sky is the limit.

Steps to becoming a referee :

1.   Take a certification course.

2.  Referee your first games under supervision from an experienced referee.

3.  Referee as many games as you can handle to get as much experience as possible.

4.  Referee games at higher and higher levels.

The future is yours!
