| Look after your valuables |
| Tuesday, 01-Jul-92 - |
Unfortunately, we have encountered an issue in several club locations where referees have had their possessions (cell phone, money) stolen from the referees room. We need to keep in mind at all times that these are not secure locations for valuables.
In order to avoid these issues from persisting, keep in mind the following when dealing with the referees room at any club:
1. Try at all times to leave and lock your valuables (Wallets, purses, cell phones etc) in your car.
2. Hide your car keys out of plain sight within your kit bag.
3. Do not share the referees room code with anyone who is not a registered referee (in the case of Fletchers)
While ultimately responsible for our own belongings, it is important that when using the referees room at Fletchers (or any other club), we remember that we have a duty of care to others when using it . This said, please;
- Close the door behind you at all times ensuring it is locked behind you
- Should you ever find the referees room door open with no one inside it, please close the door
Colin Baker will this week be changing the code for the referees room at Fletchers. To get the new code, please ask Colin for it directly when you arrive. It is not expected that the new code for the referees room will be sent out via email.
It is very unfortunate that such incidents have happened but with everyone's cooperation, the risk of it happening again can be minimized.
Thank you
