Congratulations to Derek Stoltz, JC Gilbert and Andrew Hall on their selection to the Scotland and Northumberland Exchanges. Selection was made this week by the ORRS Board [excluding current panel members].
Derek will be an excellent ambassador as the inaugural exchangee to Northumberland. Derek's trip will be pushed into early 2010 to suit current work and family commitments.
JC and Andrew are continuing the strong links with our Scottish friends. This exchange continues to be a valuable one, as many of our panel members have enjoyed and benefited from the experience.
Derek, JC and Andrew will receive assistance from the ORRS in addition to what their branch societies may provide.
Breanne Freeman will be in British Columbia in late November and will receive assistance towards her costs from the ORRS.
Other recent out of province experience was gained in Oxford, England where Ben Woods was able to officiate while on business. Earlier this year Karen Lozada travelled to Ireland, Joyce Henry to BC and Brian Bell to the Gold Coast of Australia.
Upon their return, each referee will be expected to submit a brief report outlining their goals at the start, lessons learned and any information that we can all benefit from.
